Goa Infrastructural Development Company Pvt. Ltd.

Goa Infrastructural Development Company Private Ltd ( GIDC Pvt Ltd ) was incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 on 16th October 1998. The shareholders of the Company are from mining companies in Goa.

Main Objects of GIDC Pvt Ltd

In order to carry out infrastructural development for material handling on land at Mines Head, River Loading Points, Inland waterways and at harbour for movement, transportation and generally provide for infrastructural and environmental safeguards facilities in the course of transport of ores. It was felt that contributions from Industry who are major users of the Roads etc could help / assist the Government by carrying out these works, as it can be timely and built with stricter quality requirements.

Since its inception, the Company has successfully executed several projects in Goa’s mining belt. These include construction and widening of Roadss, Constructing Goa’s 1st 4 lane bridge at Usgao, Utilization of Mechanised Road sweepers apart from other miscellenous infrastructure related assignments. Projects are assigned from key industry organizations in coordination with GMOEA and GMA too. Permissions are accorded from the State Government (handing site free of encumbrance )

The financial shortfall on the project are members of the Industry Association who have a long term plan to ensure completions of needed works as it is for the benefit of all stakeholders.

On completion of works, the roads are handed over back to the State Government for necessary regulations. Till date nearly 100 Crores of works have been completed

It may be noted that works carried through GIDC Pvt Ltd are over and above works carried out by individual companies directly in specific cases.
